Validate Your Idea
Test if customers will pay before you build your side hustle.
Most business ideas fail for one simple reason: not enough people want them badly enough to buy.
We put your idea in front of real potential customers, test their interest, and ask them to take real action so you can know whether to build it, change it, or walk away before wasting months of your time.
How your 14-day test works
1. Define the offer and proof plan
For full-time employees with a business idea, we turn your idea into a real offer in 14 days, define who it is for and why they should care, then choose the quickest credible test and the evidence that will guide the next decision.
2. Build and launch the test
Both plans include strategy and one landing page with tracking and a sign-up or payment action. On Self-Serve, you conduct outreach: I suggest places and communities to look, help refine your approach, and review your results, but do not provide a prospect list or contact people for you. The Sprint adds a second focused test, prospect research, and hands-on outreach to approximately 50 targeted people total.
3. Review evidence and decide
By day 14, you receive a written evidence review and a recommended next move: build, pivot, keep testing, or stop. We review the responses and actions actually observed, including no response. Replies, conversations, signups, and sales are not guaranteed. Your page stays live for six months.

The trade-off
Keep your evenings and weekends for what matters
Your time with family and friends is already limited. Before you give more of it to a side hustle, find out whether customers are likely to pay. Doing this setup yourself means defining the offer, building a page, connecting tracking, and writing the messages to reach people. The Sprint also includes up to $50 in ad spend, not counted in this savings estimate.

Who's behind The First Investor?
Sam Wright
I'm building The First Investor for people like me: people with a career, a family, and ideas they'd love to pursue, but who cannot afford to spend six months building the wrong thing.
I have a running list of 60 business ideas. I also spent three months building one that got zero customers. The lesson was expensive: a good idea is not enough without evidence that people will pay.
That experience pushed me to become rigorous about business signals and the cheapest meaningful experiments that help you decide what to build, pivot, keep testing, or leave behind before investing heavily.
How many business ideas have you told your friends and family about… only to watch them sigh when they realize this is another one you never followed through on?
Make this one different with The First Investor.
